Settings

The gear in the header opens the settings of this browser. They stay in this browser, like your links, and the server learns none of them.

Defaults

A new share or request starts with these values instead of the ones the instance sets. The form can still change all of them.

• Sharing files - How long a file stays available, how often it can be downloaded, and whether a password starts switched on
• Sharing notes - The same for notes, with views instead of downloads
• Requesting - How long a request stays open, how many uploads it takes, how large each may be, how often each can be downloaded, and whether a password starts switched on. For a request that asks for files and a note, the number counts submissions.

Every value is one the instance offers. When the operator later removes an option you chose, the form falls back to the default of the instance. A password the instance enforces is always on, whatever the default says. Reset gives a section back to the defaults of the instance.

A default never holds a password itself, only whether the switch starts on.

The Templates tab holds the templates of your file requests, with export and import to move them to another browser. See Templates on the file requests page.
